Hope Anglican Church Leppington
30 Heath Road, Leppington 2179
In 2025 we are reflecting on Paul’s words in Ephesians 4:3 “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit”. We know how difficult this can be when people come together from different walks of life, different cultures and different education backgrounds and yet this is what Paul and Jesus Christ urge us to strive for in our churches. This year we will hear from John Delezio, Evelyn Hibbert and Simon Gillham as they reflect on God’s Word and their many years of experience helping people from different backgrounds, love and serve each other and the world. We hope you can join us this year with your teams.
Reaching Everyday People is a workshop to help Pastors and their congregations reach the 70% of Australians who go straight into the workforce from school. This group is significantly underrepresented in many evangelical churches. What’s even more concerning is the gap is increasing according to the 2021 National Church Life Survey. While everyday people between the age of 30-39 make up 60% of the general population on average, in our church congregations they only make up 26% of members on average*.
We hope to help churches reverse this trend reaching all the people in our community. Not only reaching them but helping them to be united in Christ so they might spur one another on to maturity in Christ with the unique gifts Jesus has given each member to build the body.
